​• Explain how living things are suited to their particular habitat and how they respond to environmental changes, both natural and human-induced.
• Recognize that there are life processes common to all living things and that these occur in different ways.
• Appreciate that water, air, rocks and soil, and life forms make up our planet and recognize that these are also Earth’s resources

• Define tides, tidal zones and what an ecosystem is.
• Describe some rocky shore plants/animals as living creatures and their habitats
• Identify the key adaptations of some organisms.
• Describe and give examples of interdependence of living things and non-living world
